Here’s how it works. Really simple …

1. Advertise low cost for an oil change and service.

2. Attract lots of people who only know the basics of a car engine.

3. Put cheap oil in car.

 4. Make money on from cheap deal. There is no profit for a mechanic using proper oil on a cheap deal.  So the only way those deals make money is by  cheap oil, or upselling you stuff you don’t need.   Problem.

That cheap oil is fine for aged vehicles.  BUT … many late model cars need specific manufacture recommended oil.  Please … do not let some Cowboy mechanic running a deal, put that cheap oil in your car. Its a huge gamble.  The dough you save now, will not be worth it. We are constantly fixing cars damaged by having cheap oil put in them, on cheap deals.
